| WBSA Shootouts Saturday Night Shootouts start when the water temps start to fall and the migration brings the walleyes back to the area called the bowl off Huron and Vermilion, Ohio. 2006 shootouts begin on Saturday Oct. 7th. Sign up must be done in advance at either Cranberry Creek Marina in Huron (419-433-3932), Rich's Hook Line & Sinker (440-967-2750) or at Den's Sportsmans Outpost in Vermilion (888-855-9032) These very informal weekly tournaments are meant to be fun and create a way to introduce yourselves to others that hold the same love for night fishing as you do. There is no requirement that you be a club member but club membership is encouraged and available for anyone interested. Entry fees are $20.00 per teams up to 4 people. Teams can fish anywhere in Ohio waters of Lake Erie that they want to but must have their fish at Rich's Hook Line & sinker's bait store by Midnight. Fishing begins anytime after 4 PM. This time of year is unique in that Pier fishermen can sometimes out fish the boaters so pier fishermen are welcome to enter also. There is a 5 fish limit for weigh in and you have to pick the fish to be weighed. Winner takes all of the 100% payback. Contact Dick Chicoine at 419-656-8049 if you have questions. Rob Cline and Bobby Johns will share weigh in duties with Dick.
