LEWT Happy Hooker Tournament

The Crown Battery, Starcraft Marine Lake Erie Walleye Trail (LEWT) will hold the first event of the 2010 season on Saturday April 3rd at Fenwick Marina. The tournament is sold out and no additional entries are being accepted.

“We are happy to have a full field again in 2010 for our first event of the year” commented Tournament Director Matt Davis. He continued “The weather is looking great for the days leading up to the tournament and the tournament day itself. We expect to see some huge fish come to the scales and invite the public to come out and watch the weigh in at 3:30 Saturday.”

“We are excited to get the year started and have had numerous new sponsors join us for this year. Zinks Calls and the Jet Express are our two most recent” said WBSA Secretary/Treasurer Chris Williams. “We also added Fishhuron.com and Happy Hooker to our extensive list of returning sponsors.”

In addition to the tournament payout there are also contingency awards available for the anglers. The highest finishing Medina Plating Early bird team will win $150 and if the winning team purchased their Starcraft boat from Vic’s Sports Center or Cranberry Creek Marina they will receive a $250 contingency from the dealership and an additional $250 from Starcraft Marine. “We are grateful to have sponsors step up and offer our anglers these great contingencies and give them the opportunity to win some extra money at each event” commented WBSA President Marc Hudson.

April 3 – Turtle Creek - Fenwick Marina “Happy Hooker” LEWT
May 15 – Lakeside - Lakevue Marina “Sharpnack Ford LEWT” (Blow Date May 16)
